I swear I was going to link to this Christian Science Monitor report that indicates that papers they obtained accusing British MP George Galloway of accepting bribes from Saddam Hussein are false.

The Monitor did tests on the ink and the results indicated that the ink was much too fresh to have been written according to the date on the papers. There are also other reasons The Monitor has retracted it's story, but the bottom line is that The Monitor has retracted it's story.

A British paper, The Telegraph, was the first to find incriminating evidence against Galloway in Iraq and they are standing by their story. We'll see if that changes in the near future.

I wish I knew someone who wanted to be my partner in this. I would love to have a team weblog. I tried a team family weblog, but it failed miserably because of fighting. Still, I would love to try it again if I knew of someone who had things to say, but lacked the will to start their own page. Of course they would have to be at least semi-literate and able to construct complete sentence. That's not too much to ask, is it?

Cool. I have the latest version of Blogger. I think I like it.

I haven't been posting to my weblog because of personal reasons, but I think now it's time I get back to it.

The truth is that I've been laid off, or downsized if you will, and it's had me more than a little upset. I loved my job because of the wonderful people I worked with. I've never worked with such wonderful people and the whole process of being laid off has hurt me very much. I haven't let it out until now.

I mourn for what I've lost.
